That is where the name comes from, and it is a fair description of how the site is built. We publish guides, revisit them, and improve them as businesses open, move, change hands or raise their game. A recommendation that was accurate two years ago is not a recommendation today, which is why our guides carry dates and get rewritten rather than left to age.

How we make money, and what that does not buy

Kaizenaire.com is funded by advertising. Businesses can buy Sponsored Features, Custom Ad Solutions, Directory Listings and Featured Interviews. We think that is a good deal for a Singapore business, and we would rather say so plainly than pretend the site runs on goodwill.

What paying does not buy is a place in our editorial round-ups. Inclusion in a “best of” guide is an editorial decision and is not for sale. Anything a business has paid for is labelled where you can see it, and paid links carry the sponsored attribute so search engines can see it too.

We also will not publish a negative review of a business as a paid placement, guarantee anyone a search ranking, or promise that coverage will produce sales. Those are the three things advertisers ask for most often, and the three we say no to.
